K6, or Baltistan Peak,7,282 m (23,888 ft) 2026 - 2027 - Saltoro Summits Pakistan

K6, also known as Baltistan Peak, is a high summit in the Masherbrum Mountains, a subrange of the Karakoram mountain range in South Asia. This spectacular peak is the highest point in the Chara Kusa or Saraksa and Nangma valley region, which has attracted a lot of attention from climbers in recent years. The attractiveness of K6 is heightened by its accessibility, notably in the Charkusa and Nangma valleys, where spectacular rock climbing chances abound.

K6, located at the head of the Hushe Valley, is a gateway to adventure, providing enthusiasts with the opportunity to explore its difficult terrain. The Hushe Valley itself serves as a route for the Shyok River, which eventually flows into the enormous Indus River. Because of its geographic importance, K6 and its surrounding region have become a popular destination for mountaineers seeking new heights and beautiful views.

K6 was first climbed by an Austrian team in 1970. They accomplished this achievement by taking the Southeast Ridge from the Nangma Glacier. This historic effort marked the first recorded ascent of K6 and cemented the attractiveness of this awe-inspiring peak to climbers from all over the world. K6 has continued to entice adventurers and mountaineers, asking them to put their talents to the test and conquer its difficult slopes
