Mazeno Pass Trek
At the remote western edge of Nanga Parbat rises the dramatic Mazeno Pass (5,370 m / 17,618 ft) — one of the longest ridges in the Himalaya and a legendary high crossing for committed trekkers.
The Mazeno Pass Trek links the lush Rupal Valley with the wild Diamir side of Nanga Parbat, offering an unforgettable mix of alpine meadows, glacier travel, and close-up views of the world’s ninth-highest mountain.
Unlike the more popular routes around Nanga Parbat, Mazeno remains quiet and rugged. The trail passes through charming Rupal villages, climbs gently through forests and yak pastures, and then enters a pristine world of ice and rock. This journey is ideal for experienced hikers looking for a demanding adventure in Pakistan’s Himalaya.
