Gasherbrum-III 7952M 2026 - 2027 Saltoro Summits Pakistan

Gasherbrum-III is located between G-II and G-IV is the 15th highest mountain in the world. Till 1974 it was the highest unclimbed peak in the world. In 1975 the Polish Women expedition team led by Mrs. Wanda Rutkiewich came to Pakistan to Climb Gasherbrum-III. Mrs. Wanda Rutkiewich, K.Zdzitowiecki, Alison Chadwick, and Janusz Onyszkiewicz, reached the summit on 11th August 1975.

  • Day 1: Arrival at Benazir International Airport and transfer to hotel.
  • Day 2: Briefing at Alpine Club of Pakistan, Islamabad. Overnight in hotel.
  • Day 3: Departure for Chilas via Silk Route. Sightseeing along Indus River. Overnight in Chilas.
  • Day 4: Arrival in Skardu (22–24 hrs drive).
  • Day 5: Final arrangements for expedition in Skardu.
  • Day 6: Skardu to Askole by jeep (96 km, 7–8 hrs, 3050 m). Overnight in tents.
  • Day 7: Askole to Korophone (3–4 hrs walk, 3100 m). Overnight in tents.
  • Day 8: Korophone to Jhula (3–4 hrs, strenuous, 3150 m). Overnight in tents.
  • Day 9: Jhula to Paiju (5–6 hrs, 3480 m). First views of Baltoro Glacier. Overnight in tents.
  • Day 10: Rest and acclimatization at Paiju. Overnight in tents.
